More of Channel 4's viewers watch their programmes via streaming/catch up than the other UK networks. Among them, they have a high proportion of 16-34 year-olds. The commercial end of the BBC has decided to catch that wave, by strengthening an existing partnership with C4 and making more BBC archive available via the C4 streaming platform from 2026.
Shows will include The Office, Red Dwarf and QI, currently being re-run on the U-channels of BBC Studios' subsidiary, UKTV. UKTV originals, like Bangers & Cash and the Bergerac re-make, will also be available on the C4 platform.
