Celebrity Traitors is recording some remarkable viewing figures, with Thursday's edition averaging 8m, and taking 50% of the available tv audience. All for a series of indoor and outdoor parlour games, recorded at Ardross Castle over April and May. The nine episodes, which conclude next week, have produced the 'binding' experience that's been missing from the 9pm slot across the year. Catchup will improve the figures further, but, in general, everyone wants to be 'on the same page' for the Traitors for its talkability.
A 2026 Celebrity edition is a no brainer. Claudia will be up for that, alongside a new chat show to fill gaps left by Graham Norton, now down to 22 editions a year. Strictly is draining - 10am to 11.30pm across at least 13 Saturdays. A leisurely Thursday recording of a chat show, with only slightly longer conversations than Strictly requires - piece of cake.
