Off duty

Should you be taking your news from bbc.com - either the home or news 'front page' tabs - this morning, there's no mention of Angela Rayner. Presumably the curators, in Singapore, Sydney or Washington, don't rate it.

The BBC doesn't seem to have the big new element that is across the newspaper websites - that much of this enterprise is funded by NHS compensation over the mistreatment of Ms Rayner's son, settled in 2020. It's absolutely her business, but it does shape the optics of the story. Come on, BBC.
