“On Monday 4 August, the Metropolitan Police received a third-party allegation. The police investigation is in its early stages. No arrests have been made at this time.”
This followed allegations about the use of cocaine made by former, very upset, Strictly Come Dancing contest Wynne Evans via his solicitors Russells back in March. At some stage the BBC appointed Pinsent Masons to investigate further, revealed by The Sun on August 2nd.
Elstree Studios, where Strictly is produced, is a short stroll from Shenley Road; a Google search for "cocaine" and "Shenley Road" produces a number of results including police action.
