Wrong lede

I suspect the current ad for Digital Editor to join BBC Verify was written by an American. ''Lede', not 'lead', is found only in American dictionaries, and seems to come from  US news agencies operating in the previous century - as in "Nu Lede Follows....'

Here's the offending text:
