That's Charlotte

Here's a nice stress test for Tim Davie's succession planning. Director of Content Charlotte Moore, 56, ( Wycombe Abbey and BA Bristol) is off for money and fun at Left Bank Pictures, with a side hustle at Sony, its controllers.

She's been with the BBC since 2006, and currently earns £486k, running all of content except News and Nations & Regions, with around 2,500 staff. Left Bank Pictures, producers of the Crown, made £20m in profit with around eight staff in their last published accounts.

Clearly there's been no counter offer from the BBC, which also leaves the DG succession plan less sound. Was there a trigger for Charlotte - maybe the Christmas 2025 planning meeting was a little miserable without Gavin, Stacey, Wallace & Gromit ? Certainly hard for a successor to top....
