Though Press Gazette had the figures early, the monthly reach figures for UK tv channels are now public, and it was indeed a good four weeks for the BBC News channel.
They hit 12.8m viewers, up from 10.5m in June, and from 10.2m in July 2023.
Sky News was up over 10m, at 10.1m, compared with 8.0m in June and 8.6m in July 2023.
GB News reach was up to 3.8m, from 3.1m in June, and 3.1m a year ago.
