Job hunting

The calculations of calculating Natalie Elphicke are pretty transparent.  She was elected as Conservative member for Dover in 2019, with 28,830 votes, a 56.9% share on a 66.4% turnout. Her husband Charlie had been the MP since 2010, mostly as a Conservative, but twice as an Independent after having had the whip withdrawn. He was released from prison in September 2021 after serving half of a two year sentence for sexually assaulting two women.

Natalie and Charlie met in law school; she filed for divorce days after his conviction in 2020.

Natalie improved on Charlie's 2017 majority of 6,437, but clearly doesn't think the seat will provide an income for her beyond the next General Election.
