Ready

In numbers, the BBC's version of Gladiators has been a success that will confound many critics, and it's no wonder it has been recommissioned. The first episode was watched by 6m on the night, but that's grown to 9.8m with iPlayer catch-up over the following 28 days. By that metric, the series is averaging 8.3m per episode. Those under 16 are making up around a fifth of the audience. (At this rate, they might reinvent Crackerjack for BBC1). iPlayer has accounted nearly 40% of all Gladiators viewing to date.
