Incoming BBC Chair Samir Shah has a matter of weeks to sort out the future of Juniper Productions, before he starts officially at Broadcasting House.
In the world of indies, you're only as good as your current commissions, and Juniper boasts only two at the moment - the weekend political shows for BBC - Politics London, currently presented by Samantha Simmons, with a production team of four, and Politics South East, presented by BBC SE Political Editor Charlotte Wright, produced from Tunbridge Wells by a named team of two, plus a credit for BBC Editor Politics England, Tim Burke.
Samir bought Juniper from Michael Wills in 1998, when it seemed to have assets at around £390k. The latest accounts show assets of £220k.
