The BBC is proposing four and a half new semi-automated radio services on DAB. No clear brand names yet, but here's my stab. Apparently, if you're losing listeners, the BBC answer is to spread out....
RADIO 1 NEW MUSIC
Less obvious tracks from the past twenty years, plus new bands.
RADIO 1 DANCE
Existing service fleshed out
RADIO 2 POP HISTORY
Boom Radio won't be happy. Hits from the 50s, 60s and 70s. Archive stuff, and nearly-archived presenters
RADIO 3 CHILL
Their words - "Peaceful favourites to ethereal choral music, and soothing orchestral textures to minimal and neoclassical sounds"
RADIO 5LIVE SPORTS EXTRA
Adding sports podcasts to the intermittent live commentaries
