Food wokery ? I know they're not the first to do it, but I object to Waitrose, Ocado and Booths moving to describe blood oranges as 'blush oranges'.
Lidl, Asda, M&S, Sainsbury and Morrisons' hands are clean; Tesco seem to have invented Sweet Red Oranges.
I have long given up on preserving the names of 'tangerines' and 'clementines', infantilised by our supermarkets in general as 'easy peelers'. And now we're losing 'moro', 'sanguinello' and 'tarocco'. By the the way, has anyone seen a minneola in the UK this past year ?
