Interim BBC chair Dame Elan Closs Stephens gets a moment in the limelight this morning, with a 'keynote' speech to the Autumn Conference of The Listener and Views, in the bijou surroundings of The Geological Society. Demonstrating some of the insights that she's presumably put into her pitch for the permanent job, she's expected to say the BBC offers remarkable value despite the “financial pressures” it is currently facing.
