The shuffling of the schedules at TalkTV is more extensive than I first reported. Julia Hartley-Brewer is brought forward, after just a month in the early afternoon.
So from Monday, you get half an hour of Kevin O'Sullivan and Alex Phillips at 9.30am, followed by three hours of HB from 10am. Then two hours of Crosstalk with 'Kev and Alex' from 1pm.
The flagship "First Edition" (remember Tom Newton-Dunn) is axed, with The Talk coming forward to 6pm.
Helping with all this change is new Head of Studio Output at TalkTV, James Haggar, partner of BBC Breakfast and 5Live presenter Naga Munchetty. James previously worked as Creative Director on GB News. And if you're channel hopping, you'll now find eight 'local tv' stations rebranded as 'Talk', carrying TalkTV output to bulk out their 'local' content - TalkLeeds, TalkLiverpool, TalkNorthWales, TalkTeesside TalkTyne&Wear, TalkBirmingham, TalkBristol and TalkCardiff. The stations remained wholly-owned by by Local TV, chaired by David Montgomery.
