"Decisions we make now will shape an awful lot of stuff which will be very consequential for future generations. I think it's that important."
The BBC's Laura Ellis seems to have taken a break from X/Twitter, after the odd dialogue about investment in BBC local radio. But she's widely available elsewhere.
Here's a podcast produced by Avid, the digital editing specialists. In June, she spoke at the Synthetic Media Summit at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles; she was a guest speaker at the World News Media Conference in Taipei in October, and back for an AI Policy Forum panel in London; last week she was speaking at DTG's Future Tech in London; next month, she's heading to the NewsTECHConference in New York.
1340 Wednesday update: Laura has written to me, thus: "I didn’t go to LA, nor was I in Taiwan in October and I was part of the organising committee for the policy summit in London." and "the BBC hasn’t paid for any of the travel". Happy to put those matters straight.
Here's a feature on Laura with TVNewsCheck.
