The Searchers

Some more names being added to Saxton Bampfylde outreach project that is the hunt for a new BBC Chair.

The Telegraph says they've contacted dashing former BT CEO Gavin Patterson. If this one flies, it'll be a reunion; Gavin worked with Tim Davie at Procter & Gamble in the 1990s "in hair care in Egham".

However Claire Enders, of Enders Analysis, tells the Telegraph that Damon Buffini, brought into from the world of private equity by Richard Sharp as his deputy, is the man to beat. "He has always struck me as the obvious replacement and possibly the one whose experience of the BBC is most valuable to the future as it relies increasingly on commercial revenue to keep the whole show on the road.”
