Saturday 5th August: BBC News app relaunched
Thursday 17th August: BBC Complaints website says "We have received complaints from people unhappy about recent changes to the BBC News app." Gerraway, as we used to say in parts of Liverpool.
"We have updated the BBC News App to modernise its look and feel. We have also refreshed the technology that powers the News App, which will allow us to introduce new features, bringing you the news in a way that works for everyone.
"Some users have told us they preferred the old app but the last significant update was in 2015 and much has changed since then.
"Our product team continues to receive valuable feedback from users. We are actively researching to identify key improvements, for example with ‘My News’ and how articles are presented.
"We are pleased to say the Market Data link has been restored on the Business page. We have also added links under Watch/Listen for easy access to BBC News and Radio 5 Live.
"We are keen to hear your views. Users are invited to tell us what they think and help shape future development – scroll down to the link at the bottom of the App. "
