Sir Trevor Phillips has been giving interviews to promote his move to the Sunday morning slot at Sky News, starting next week. 

He's ruled himself out of a run for the vacancy as BBC Chair. “I don’t think I could combine being chair of the BBC with being Trevor Phillips. I’m not in that competition.”

However he hinted that a hack should get a least one of the top jobs at Auntie: “The current DG (Tim Davie) and former Chair (Richard Sharp) have not been journalists. You can see why the BBC can make massive errors when the leaders don’t have that experience.”
