Claude Sarfo has been appointed to look after money for BBC News. Most recently he's been CFO in Europe for risk management firm Assurant, after a long career with Lloyds Bank.
He'll do the job from Birmingham, with a home in leafy Droitwich Spa - and two sons big in golf since the age of two. Here's a link to a piece from BBC Hereford & Worcester, showing, incidentally, how local radio was working on social media way before Jason Horton thought of it.
