The local elections campaign grid is up and running at the BBC, but there is a clear distance between fair play in terms of minutes, and fair play in terms of impact. Last night, the Greens got some coverage on BBC1 with a 'constituency report' from mid-Suffolk; solid, but essentially a 2 minute 10s vox pop, without a scrutiny of a policy or would-be politician in sight. This morning, Sir Ed Davey was on Today, in the absolutely non-prime 0650 slot. Sadly, Today followed the Libdem's chosen topic, "dental deserts".
