I'm slightly disappointed that our national news broadcasters failed to point out the symmetry between the money-raising activities of former Government ministers now on the Conservative backbenches. Plenty of airtime was devoted to the financially and emotionally-needy Matt Hancock, including the dispatch of camera crews to his constituency, where they were asked about being abandoned for three weeks.
No-one gave the same treatment to Boris Johnson, off to Singapore to address a Bitcoin conference, a subject about which he's presumably asked technology adviser Jennifer Arcuri for a full briefing. As for being away from his parliamentary duties - didn't he take nice breaks in the Caribbean and Greece while he was Prime Minister Without Authority, rather than wait a couple of weeks ? His last visit to Uxbridge and South Ruislip, as recorded on his website, was in August.
