The BBC and its favoured estate agent, LSH, have finally bitten the bullet, and put the Maida Vale studio complex on the market, inviting bids at £10.5m. The price acknowledges that the BBC has given up on shifting the Grade II status imposed by Historic England in May 2020.
It's a mere £126 per square foot. I'm guessing they originally expected at least five times that figure. And by the way, its EPC is G - the lowest. The BBC wants to rent it back, at £500,000 a year until 2025, when the East Bank development at Stratford is supposed to be ready.
