In the skies

Quarter 1,  2022/23 was a busy time for BBC News Executives, waiting for the arrival of new CEO Deborah Turness.

HR executive Irene Asare managed trips to Nigeria, Ghana and New Delhi in India, where she stayed at the Shangri La Eros. Chief Operating Officer Alan Dickson popped over to Las Vegas with a stop in New York, for £1990, and one night at the Room Mate Grace in the Big Apple. He was one of 50,000 delegates heading to the NAB Show, where "global visionaries convene to bring content to life in new and exciting ways."

Interim CEO Jonathan Munro visited New York on a £2,600 return, staying at the Royalton.  Digital supremo Naja Neilsen flew into New York at the same time, but slightly more cheaply, coming into JFK from Copenhagen for just over £700, and returning from Washington a few days later, for £680.
