BBC DG Tim Davie has just pushed back on their demand, in a reply condemned by the Chronicle's supporters as 'vacuous'.
The JC is owned by a consortium led by BBC non-executive director Sir Robbie Gibb (speciality: editorial issues), which also includes occasional Panorama reporter John Ware.
