Reflecting the UK

Will the new series of Radio 4's Feedback count as a tick in Tim Davie's Across The UK ledger ?  It's gone to Whistledown, who say their production team is based in Hidden Lane, Glasgow, Finnieston. It's apparently "a fantastic community of artists, designers, musicians and more, working in around 100 studios (and a great wee tearoom!)".  No address or phone number is provided on the main Whistledown website; their HQ and studio is five minutes walk south of London's Borough Market.

Presenter Andrea Catherwood, born in Belfast, is based on the Chiswick/Hammersmith border. At least Man of Cumbria Roger Bolton lived outside the M25, in Little Gaddesden.

  • R4's Controller Mohit Bakaya is leading the tender process for a new programme to fill the Start The Week slot, and, unusually, the brief says that the winner may have to take on some existing BBC staff, under a TUPE process.
