BBC Studios in New York are moving into FAST channels - Free, ad-supported, streaming tv. They've been around for around five years, and are on the move in the States. They have a range of niche channels, running round the clock, usually full of old programming you find on the high numbers in satellite and cable channels, only you don't need a dish or hard wire, you pick them up on a smart phone, tablet, or smart TV.
These channels are often clustered on a launch page, like Herogo.tv, which boasts 170 of these channels. Mometu has a bunch of B-class old films, Freebie TV runs within Amazon, Roku and Apple TV, Flixhouse is on the same platforms with 'art' films, also available via an app.
