Birthday 1

A busy day for BBC DG Tim Davie yesterday - first, to MIPCOM, Cannes, where his skinny jeans and white trainers had to compete for attention with the skinnier and shiny jeans adopted by BBC Studios CEO Tom Fussell.  Their interlocutor was Lyse Doucet (salary paid by BBC Studios). 

Then to the Commons, in suit and proper shoes, for a reception organised by BECTU and hosted by the Shadow Culture Secretary, Lucy Powell. The DG taking a gamble on the next Government ?

    Davie looking a mess, as usual. And he wants me to give him money every year? No chance.
