The job ad for a new Controller BBC Radio 3 is out, and it's a peripatetic music job: "Location: London or Salford – Radio 3 is located across both sites therefore the Controller will be required to work in both locations".
Post-holder Alan Davey, despite being a 'Northern bloke', is leaving. Not all of the network's issues are in Greater Manchester. Alan is also currently the project sponsor for the BBC's new music studios in Stratford, and the balance sheet there is looking iffy, with the sale of Maida Vale nowhere in sight.
