Yes, incredibly the BBC have lighted on Amol Rajan, a man who stumbles and clatters over simple cues on the Today programme, as the next quiz master for University Challenge.
In slightly better news, he will stop being the BBC's Media Editor. Maybe then someone can interview him about the Lebedevs and Boris Johnson.
He ticks all the right boxes though, and will probably make it unwatchable.
