An average of 11m watched the full BBC1 coverage of England v Germany last night, with a peak audience of 17.5m as the trophy was lifted. The BBC is also reporting iPlayer streams at 5.9m, though that does not necessarily equate with viewers.
Last year's Men's Euro 2020 final between England and Italy at Wembley, which was broadcast on both the BBC and ITV, averaged 29.85 million.
In Germany, an average of 17.9m watched their side lose in extra time.
