The Radio 4 obituary show, The Last Word, looks set to move out of London, meeting the clarion call from Tim Davie to produce more programmes "Across the UK".
The weekly show, currently produced in house by BBC Audio is out to tender, and the commissioners say "We will favour proposals that support the BBC’s strategic rebalancing of production away from London, either from the outset or with a credible transition plan in the first year of the contract."
The same guidance is given to those pitching a new religious discussion show, currently filled by Beyond Belief.
