It's Kev - is it ?

Katie Hind, Showbusiness Editor at the Mail on Sunday, continues her interest in BBC News (remember her assessment of Jess Brammar ?) with a piece on Ofcom Content Director Kevin Bakhurst.  

Her piece describes him as "a leading contender" for the vacancy at the top of BBC News; in the way the Mail pays attention to detail, this becomes "lead contender" in the headline, which, I think, is different. 

The headline might be right. If the head of judgement on matters partial and impartial at the country's media regulator tosses his hat in this ring, how can Richard Sharp and Tim Davie, hunting the Impartiality Grail, make any case for turning him down ?
