Unconventionally

Some odd additions to the programme for the RTS Cambridge Convention: Hilary and Chelsea Clinton get a chance to puff their HiddenLight production company, "a global studio creating premium documentary, scripted and unscripted entertainment for TV, film and digital," under the intense questioning of Professor Mary Beard. In an equally titanic contest, Gareth Southgate will be grilled by Clare Balding.

BBC DG Tim Davie gets 0900 on the second day - after the previous evening's drinks (sponsored by BBC Studios) dinner (sponsored by Accenture) and night-cap (sponsored by Korn Ferry). BBC Chairman, the charismatic Richard Sharp, is on after lunch, with Stephanie Flanders there to prompt some of his endless gags.

Mark Thompson, too grand for a mere panel, seems to have been inserted ahead of a discussion on Public Service Broadcasting, with Kirsty Wark grilling Maria Kyriacou, President, ViacomCBS Networks UK, Australia and Israel, Alex Mahon, CEO, Channel 4 and Fraser Nelson, Editor, The Spectator.
