The BBC DG Tim Davie is convinced, like Chancellor Rishi Sunak, that 'office life' is an important part of the way the organisation works best. But his teams in the Design & Engineering division see a different future. This is the statement about where you might be based if you join as a Senior Tester, in a current job ad. They don't seem to mind where in the UK you live.
Location: Until it’s completely safe to do so, we’re working 100% remote. After this time, we’ll begin to come to the office for collaboration days. The majority of the time, you’ll be able to choose whether to work at home or in the office - wherever you work best. Most of the team members you’ll work with are based in London; though some are also in Salford, Glasgow, Cardiff and elsewhere.
This job is working within D&E for News. Of course, if you report on technology for BBC News, your future base is Glasgow, or else.
