I'm sure the backgrounder is somewhere on the News Content nee Newsgathering grid, but is it possible that there are more pressing concerns than posh curtains on the minds of council electors in England as they head to the polls on Thursday ?
It may be the effect of my own social media bubble, but I detect some concerns about the relentless spread of housing v protecting open spaces, road building and airport investment v climate change, promises of changes to social care v non-delivery of changes to social care, and getting back to work like the old days v keeping at least a couple of days working at home.
Here's a guess. The Greens and Libdems will do better than their current forecast share of around 7% each.
