I confidently predict The Mallorca Files will get a peaktime re-run on BBC1 before we've all been jabbed. The crime caper inspired by Moonlighting ended its second daytime series with an episode attracting 1.7m - double the slot average. It makes money for indie Cosmopolitan, and facilities house Palma Pictures, who've managed in recent years to provide settings and cameras for The Crown seasons 3 & 4, The Night Manager, Tom Hollander-vehicle Us, and dozens of commercials.
