Tim on Tube

BBC DG Tim Davie was grilled by Baroness (Nicky) Morgan yesterday, around the publication of "Value for Audiences", and you can now watch the whole thing back on YouTube.

We weren't allowed to see all of the Zoom participants, and can't be sure why, early on, the organisers chose to give us a shot of Andrew Bridgen MP in a rugby shirt, and new BBC chairman Richard Sharp in an open-necked blue shirt. Not much evidence of BAME diversity in the online audience, either - I could only spot BBC strategist Gautam Rangarajan.

Notes for Tim: too many "by the ways", too many "yeh ?" assertions, and still too many high-falutin' words, where plain English would do. Try tenure, rather than tenureship, optional rather than optionality, and leave 'construct' alone altogether.

  1. He should also learn how to tie a tie. And I bet he was wearing jeans and trainers. What a slob.
