Mmm. Whoever is really running BBC1 has gambled on good bacteria emerging from latest ingredients dropped into the 9pm Wednesday to Friday Petri dish. I think they've created something unpleasant in Gordon Ramsay's Bank Balance.   

This is simply not 'event' tv. It's a cross between Million Pound Drop, Jenga and Buckaroo that goes on too long, doesn't really build,  and features a host learning on air (whose performance is presumably judged by the show's Executive Lead, one Gordon Ramsay). A less desperate BBC might have pointed it as a reasonable replacement for tea-time Pointless.
