In another significant changing of the guard, Richard Clark (Worthing High School for Boys/Worthing Sixth Form College and BA English Leicester University) is leaving the BBC as Editor of the Radio Newsroom. He joined the Corporation in 1985, as a producer at Radio Kent, having previously worked as a reporter for Associated Kent Newspapers, then moved to Radio Bedfordshire as news editor. He joined the Today Programme in 1991, and moved through the ranks to Deputy Editor.
In 2000, he joined Newsgathering, first in the Social Affairs Unit and then as Home News Editor. In 2003 he became Editor of Radio 4's The World at One, PM, The World this Weekend and Broadcasting House - but was on the move again in 2004, to the Radio Newsroom.
Work wasn't always behind the scenes.....
