A look back to happier times. Here's a shot of Tim Davie, now DG, some three months after joining the Corporation to run marketing back in 2005. He was out for the evening with shy retiring Deputy Director General Mark Byford (on tambourine) as part of an invited audience at Abbey Road for an evening with Paul McCartney. Also in the party, but out of shot, the Controller of Radio 2 at the time, Lesley Douglas.
