Pot pourri

Odds and ends ahead of new BBC1 live magazine programme "Chris and Patrick's Chart Show".

The Times reports that the Duchess of Sussex has fired her QC David Sherborne, in her continuing case against the Mail on Sunday. Mr Sherborne most recently represented Johnny Depp. Justin Rushbrooke will take his place - Mr Rushbrooke appeared on behalf of Sir Cliff Richard in his case against the BBC.

La Republica got hacks excited for at least 12 hours reporting an alleged sighting of Boris Johnson at Perugia Airport on the weekend of 12th September. The fact that it lasted 12 hours before requiring repeated denials from Number 10 shows how little those hacks trust the Prime Minister. Surely a decent late editor would have binned the very idea that we have a leader who thinks he can head out of the capital anywhere in secret ?  Or a chief advisor ?

The Twittersphere continues to speculate without evidence on Bojo and Carrie. Carrie, meanwhile, has told the Twittersphere that she will be a judge on a LipSync Zoom battle being organised by Elena Bunbury for the Conservative Party virtual conference fringe.
