A very dull set of minutes from the May meeting of the BBC Board, but was it a dull meeting ?
There are completely opaque references to a settlement of the valuation of the BBC Pension Scheme, which suggests we should keep a beady eye on the 2019/20 Annual Report. Health Editor Hugh Pym was on parade, via Zoom - this may have been a distraction.
There's a single sentence reference to the Equalities and Human Rights Commission investigation into suspected past pay discrimination against women. One the big screen for that: Christopher Jeans, QC, described on his chambers' website as “one of the all-time greats” of employment law, and Jason Pobjoy, "a consistent source of legal power, energy and enthusiasm". So that'll be alright then.
