Kamal Ahmed is titled Editorial Director, BBC News. It's hard to think of a more demanding job. Yet he's found time to make and present a 40-minute Radio 4 documentary, Mohammed and the Market.
"Kamal decides to find out more about the links between Islam and the West when it comes to market economics. Along the way, he discovers intriguing connections between the founding fathers of market economics and the ideas of medieval Islamic financial scholars."
It went out last night, gets a repeat on Sunday, and is available on BBC Sounds.
It's produced by indie Juniper, led by CEO and Creative Director Samir Shah. Samir's brother is Radio 4 Controller Mohit Bakaya.
