If Andrew Neil is right (no reason for him not to be), a clever and influential man has been very poorly handled by the BBC, now and over the years. From his recent Tweets...
"In 25 years of doing weekly shows for BBC1 and BBC2 I have never once met or been contacted by, for praise or criticism, the controllers of either channel."
On his more recent Wednesday interview slot on BBC2: "It’s not coming back. The BBC said it could come back if I accepted a new, late afternoon time in the BBC2 schedule. But BBC2 bosses did not want it back at 7pm. I declined the new time so the show was cancelled."
Patrick Holland is the Controller of BBC 2. In the last reported quarter, he spend £727.15 entertaining contacts. Have a word, Tim.
