The Sunday Times (paywalled) has discovered that BBC Scotland is cross with BBC Studios. BBC Studios, as a limited company, does not seem obliged to disclose news of job cuts. Earlier this month, it was reported in the trade press that the documentaries department had put 25% of jobs on notice of closure.
BBC Scotland houses a documentary wing for BBC Studios, and so, 20 out of 80 jobs are going. Donalda MacKinnon, in the departure lounge herself, wasn't told and is 'furious', claims the paper's source.
