James Purnell and Clare Sumner were sent out on behalf of the BBC this morning, to face Julian Knight and His Merry Men on the DCMS Select Committee.
Mr Purnell seemed to say that BBC3 might be resurrected as a broadcast channel without killing off BBC4, and Ms Sumner said the BBC Board will review whether or not to end free licences for the Over-75s from August, in their July meeting.
It's hard to tell whether or not Mr Purnell needs the services of a good joiner at his E2 gaffe. What is behind those doors ? Do they swing or slide ? Are they finished, or meant to look like that ?
