The BBC's automatic subtitling system still has the odd entertaining glitch, but is clearly investing in some clever algorithms. On the News channel, covering the death of former Bond girl Honor Blackman, the machine swerved a word that is often used unpleasantly, and added a bit of BBC charitable spin, in re-inventing one her most famous characters - 'Pudsey Galore'.
