The evening news shows on ABC, CBS and NBC are, unsurprisingly, doing good business in the States. Between March 16 and April 7, a total of 31m a night watched one of their shows each weekday evening, up from 22 million over the same period a year ago. The epidemic's also good for PBS' Newshour, with audiences up around 34%.
Local tv bulletins are also up - doubled in some areas, with many more under 34s tuning in.
