Prior to joining the BBC, he worked for the Good Pub Guide, as associate editor and editor. Based on his experiences there of travelling around the UK, Rob got his break in TV working as a researcher on BBC One’s Holiday series.
He produced the Hampton Court Flower Show in 2002, then a slew of consumer complaint shows - Brassed Off Britain, Rogue Traders, Old Dogs New Tricks, before running Watchdog, in the days of Nicky Campbell and Julia Bradbury. It's a job that never really leaves you....
After a year with Editorial Policy, he re-emerged in current affairs in 2011, then became Head of Factual in Salford in 2016. His credits include executive producing of "How safe are my drugs ?", "Porn - What's the harm ?", and "Are my fake breasts safe ?".@BoschDIYuk massively disappointed with service I've had from you guys. When are you going to return my missing parts?— Rob Unsworth (@RobUnsworth1) August 26, 2014
