Mrs Nicola Morgan's October retreat from the pressures of front line politics allowed Mrs Jane Hunt, for nine years Mrs Morgan's constituency caseworker, to step up as Loughborough's MP.

Mrs Hunt was also a Councillor, at Charnwood Borough Council, where the Tory leader is Jonathan 'Jono' Morgan, architect and director of Cotes Consult alongside his wife Nicola. He declares a buy-to-let property in Loughborough, and a range of committee and governor work that would easily fill a calendar.
